Hello traveling people,
My name is Corinne, and I hope I’ll get to know you soon, be it through the interwebs or somewhere on the road… if we didn’t meet already!
I’ve been wandering around the world, testing out what I thought could be the most awesome lifestyle for a travel-minded person. And my conclusion after these two first years is: thrilling! I can’t even measure the positiveness it brought into my existence. I could hardly go back!
I’ve been blogging about this project since 4 years now on my french blog Vie Nomade (translation: nomadic life). My goal has been to show people that had a similar dream that this is possible.
So, what is this lifestyle about?
I’ve got no home, I’m strolling around following my own rhythm, often dictated by a feeling, a meeting, or even the weather. An homeless person?
Sometimes, I do play the tourist. I visit local attractions, I eat in a Mac Donald’s once in a while… But I still don’t see it as a main definition. I rarely frequent hotels, I try to live the local way as much as I can, and I usually stay long enough in a place to get the right feel of it… sometimes I even learn a language on the way! Sawatdee kaa!
So I thought this could be what a new nomad is. Somebody for whom travel is not a purpose anymore, but a lifestyle. Taking a bus, a plane, a motorbike, a boat or an hitchhike ride and go to somewhere new is just one way to exponentially learn, share, keep oneself’s entertained and open the doors to the opportunity of meeting incredibly different and awesome people… a nomad living with his modernized time, extracting some important values out of travel: share, learn and play.
I am looking forward to tell you more about this! I plan on sharing tips, real feelings, insider guides, interviews of inspiring peeps, and stuff that hopefully, if we share the same love for travel, will help us connect and enjoy it at the fullest!
Thank you for reading and see you somewhere, soon!
